مهرشاد شفائی، دانشجوی ۲۱ ساله حسابداری، در تاریخ ۱۸ دیماه ۱۴۰۴ در ساوه کشته شد. او بنا به گزارشها با شلیک مستقیم نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی به قتل رسید، و یک منبع ذکر کرده که با دو گلوله جنگی مورد اصابت قرار گرفته است. مادرش در آغاز سال نو بر سر مزار او سخنرانی شجاعانهای ایراد کرد.
